DUTCH DARTS LEGEND BARNEY VISITING OLDHAM IN FINAL SEASON

Legendary darts star Raymond van Barneveld will appear at Oldham’s annual darts event before retiring from the professional game.

The Dutch great, who has won five World Championship titles, will compete at A Night at the Darts – sponsored by Deck Direct – on Saturday 14 September.

‘Barney’, who will retire at the end of 2019, is joined by emerging talent Luke Humphries, popular Darryl Fitton, three-time Women’s World Champion Anastasia Dobromyslova and a host of local darts aces for the top-quality event at Queen Elizabeth Hall.

“This will be a fabulous event and one of my last as a professional. I am honoured to be visiting this wonderful venue again and hope I can win the event. There are some top players against me so it will be tough, but my job is to entertain and win and I will be aiming to do both on the night.”
